Adult basketball schedules
Adult basketball schedules are now available at the recreation office in Town Hall and can also be downloaded in Adobe format through the recreation department link at the Town website.

Managers are reminded that team registration fees are $250 per team, plus a $30 fee per player. Team and player fees are due at the start of each team's second game. Also, numbered jerseys of similar color are required attire for participation in this year's leagues.

Rosters may carry as many as 15 players; players are eligible to participate if they will be 16 years of age or older as of March 1.

Players may be added to the roster at any time throughout the season, but participants who have not paid the $30 player fee before the start of their second game will not be permitted to play. Adult basketball schedules will be available at the recreation office and on the recreation department page at the Town website. The season will run through mid-April.

Call the recreation office at 264-4151 Ext. 231 for more information.

Youth basketball
Youth basketball schedules are available at the recreation office in Town hall and are also posted in Adobe format on the recreation department page on the Town website.

For more information, call 264-4151 Ext. 231 or 232.

Cross-country skiing
Thanks to the efforts of the Pagosa Nordic Club, cross-country skiing trails are being groomed regularly on Reservoir Hill, in Town Park and in Yamaguchi Park to offer a variety of Nordic skiing opportunities in downtown Pagosa Springs.

For more information on additional cross-country skiing opportunities in the Pagosa Springs area, visit the club website.

Skate pond
The skate pond at the River Center remains open. The hours of operation are from dawn to 10pm every day, except on those nights when ice-maintenance operations are being performed.

Resurfacing will be scheduled for Monday and Thursday evenings unless weather conditions keep the work from taking place.

On those nights, the pond will be closed at 6 p.m. A minimum ice thickness of four inches will be regularly monitored, but thin spots can occur, and an effort to mark them with orange safety cones will be made.

Pond users are requested to leave the cones in place. We also ask that no foreign objects be thrown onto the ice. The pond will remain open until safety concerns require its closure. Enjoy the ice.
